How WEEE Collection works
WEEE recycling refers to the recycling of unwanted electrical goods or components. In an attempt to curb waste, the idea behind it is that you as a user are responsible for what happens to your white goods once they stop working. Step 1: Dismantling
Chemicals including oil and refrigerants are removed, before the salvageable parts are stripped to be sent for recycling.
Step 2: Shredding
White goods are dropped into a shredder to break it up into separate parts which can then be recycled. This also disperses any gases which can be safely contained.
Step 3: Filtration
Harmful gases are safely removed, and any remnants are condensed into liquids, ready for disposal. Parts are then separated into individual materials.
Step 4: Recycling
